As the week draws to its closure, the pupils on Beacon Olympics were again tasked with a variety of team-building exercises and challenges. After the daily ‘kahoot’ quiz they participated in a rounders match, with each team still determined to achieve victory.

On the penultimate day of their week of exciting activities, the Beacon Olympics pupils maintained their enthusiasm and preserved their energy for another day of competitive games. Some were tasked with the challenge of map reading, whist others fell over in the daily sack-race.
Half way through the week and the activities continue- this time with a colourful array of scientific experiments. From constructing their own lava lamps, to making a sugar rainbow, the pupils were amazed with the power of science. With the weather turning colder, there was time for a short game of rounder’s and relay races.
Photos to follow. The day began with the kids forming teams and going head to head in Kahoot! quizzes. After breaking up into groups the kids got the chance to take part in a Martial Arts taster session, Spaghetti and Marshmallow towers and various team building activities. As the day progressed and the weather improved the kids were allowed some free time, some chose to relax and colour whilst others braved the sun for a big game of football!
A week of sporting challenges and competitions began in the morning sun, as the children rivalled each other in Olympic style games. With alternating groups, some participated in team building exercises, in which both communication and co-operation were paramount in completing the tasks provided. To finish an exciting day of activities, the groups watched a film at the end of the day for relaxation. |
