Another day of designing began, in which the pupils were tasked with making ‘sweet-trees’, requiring both precision and imagination. With materials to hand the kids produced colourful trees that even Willy Wonka would be proud of. Pupils spent the day using the machine, creating applique, pockets and beading to create fantastic memory cushions. Some pupils used their all school tops from Year 6, holiday t-shirts and all football tops to create their memory cushion.
Day One saw things starting to heat up in the Barr Beacon kitchens, as the children donned their aprons and became young chefs for the day. Brownies, Flavoured Bread, Puff Pastry Pizza Rolls and Fairy Cakes were on the menu and our young chefs produced beautiful examples. Mary Berry eat your heart out! |
